As we all know exercise is really important when it comes to living a healthy lifestyle. What isn’t talked about enough is how exercise can benefit your overall life. Nobody knows more about this than fitness expert Charles D’Angelo, we were extremely luck to catch a webinar which he has done, who educated us on all of the benefits exercise has. So whether its weightlifting or football, take a look at how any form of exercise can benefit your life.
Mental Health
Mental health is something that is spoken about a lot more these days that it ever has been. Regardless of your physical condition, exercise can help reduce the stress in your life. People who partake in regular exercise all have a sense of accomplishment and well-being. Using exercise to combat your mental health can help as much as some medication and if this is something you have been struggling with, you need to give it a go. It certainly doesn’t have to be the case where you are working out five hours a day, even regular fifteen minute workouts or sports played with friends will boost your morale. It can help you feel a lot better in your mind, whilst also making you feel better about your body.
Finding a Hobby
Sick and tired of scrolling through your phone, or binge watching your favorite streaming platform? Exercise can take care of that too. A lot of people think of exercise as countless hours in the gym, but that doesn’t have to be the case. If you don’t enjoy going to the gym, you don’t have to go. Exercise can help you find a new hobby that you enjoy and feel passionate about. If you like watching sports, what about joining a local sports team? If that isn’t for you why not take up hiking or cycling? You aren’t going to enjoy every activity you try but when you find the right one it will improve your life. You are allowed to have fun, if you find something that you are into, it won’t feel like exercise at all and it will leave you feeling great.
Physical Benefits
As mentioned, exercising regularly will improve the way your body looks on the outside. It is also important to know the benefits exercising has on the inside of your body. Exercising may reduce the risk of a heart attack, whilst improving your cholesterol and this can help lower the risk of life threatening illnesses/diseases. You will also see a massive benefit in sleeping, exercising is proven to improve your sleeping patterns, and this will make your body feel more refreshed for the day ahead.
Meeting New People
The health and fitness community is massive, so there is a massive chance that you can meet new people that benefit your life. You can find new friends that you would never have met otherwise. This can improve your social life and you can also use this as a tool to motivate yourself to continue exercising on a regular basis.
